Hounslow Council says it distributed more than £130,000 worth of free school meal vouchers during last week’s half-term.

Eligible families are entitled to £15 a week per child which they can claim online or through the post.

The scheme includes children living outside the borough that attend Hounslow's schools.

Schools receive extra funding for every child who claims.

The money goes towards tailored support for children from low-income households.
