Welfare calls are to be made to each of Croydon’s 1,500 vulnerable residents over the age of 65.

Funding has been handed to three organisations to undertake the Winter Check Calls project.

It will focus on people who are known to them but not currently in receipt of statutory council-run adult social care services.

Following the calls, each organisation will consider necessary onward referrals; all 1,500 residents will be contacted by the end of March.
