Footage of the incident shared on TIK-Tok has been viewed more than 400 thousand times.
The man, who was searched under the misuse of drugs act,
eventually went on his way when nothing was found.
In a statement police said the man had been wearing several
layers of clothing despite the warm weather, and he’d refused to cooperate with
them.
They said the footage, taken last Wednesday, showed only a
small part of the incident and asked people not to rush to judgement.
