44-year-old Edi Lorusso netted 60% of the public vote for her work fighting thrombosis.
Edi says she’s “honoured just to be amongst the great nominees, let alone win”.
She joined the hospital in 2000, and since then has been invited to participate in parliamentary debates due to her work.
