Unpaid carers in Richmond are to benefit from free home sensors to help them support vulnerable people as part of a pilot project.

The wireless discreet sensors can monitor movement, temperature and door activity and relay the results to a smart phone. 

It will alert carers by text or email when they are away from the home of person they care for, if any problems arise during their absence.
