Opposition parties want a general election after the new chancellor ditched many of the plans put forward in last month's mini-budget.

Jeremy Hunt says a 1p cut to income tax will be delayed "indefinitely." 

He also said that the energy price guarantee will be reviewed in April, instead of in two years as originally planned.

Financial markets have responded positively.

But Lib Dem leader and MP for Kingston and Surbiton, Sir Ed Davey, wants the public to have their say.
