Plans to introduce an additional nine Healthy School Street schemes in Croydon have been approved.

All of the initiatives had already been part of a trial by the council.

The roads included are in the periphery of ten schools in the borough including Howard Primary and Gonville Academy.

School Streets aim to improve safety and encourage more pupils to walk, cycle and scoot more often, limiting motor traffic.
