Spelthorne’s Community Centres are going to open their doors on Saturdays for people who can’t afford to heat their homes

Sites in Ashford and Shepperton will take it in turns to invite people in from next month until February. 

They’ll offer “warmth, a hearty meal and good company.”

Currently, members can only visit the centres on weekdays.
