England could be without Courtney Lawes for the start of rugby union's Six Nations at Twickenham Stadium after the flanker withdrew from the training squad with a calf injury.

He's now a major doubt for his country's opening match of the tournament against Scotland in less than a fortnight.

Head coach Steve Borthwick tells Sky Sports News, they remain hopeful Lawes will recover in time.
