Staff at a special school in Croydon are to be balloted for strike action, over fears about the future of the school.

The GMB says the plans to make Red Gates an academy is “irresponsible” due to the specialised nature of the pupils.

The ballot will close on the 3rd of April, and action would take place after the Easter holidays.
