Emergency crews were called to Ashley Road at around 1.45am, after a Red Honda Civic crashed near the war memorial.
Anyone who was driving along the road in the early hours of Saturday who may have seen anything is asked to contact Surrey Police.
The family of the man are being supported by specialist officers.
