The patron of one of the UK’s leading bodies of private investors believes youngsters are not educated sufficiently in financial matters

Lord John Lee says there is “little benefit” in all children studying maths up to the age of 18 unless it’s needed for a career path. 

The Prime Minister announced a review of the subject in England this week saying an "anti-maths mindset" is holding the economy back.

 Lord Lee, who lives in Richmond and is patron of ShareSoc, explains what he’d like to see rolled out in the national curriculum.
