More parking bays across areas including Clapham and Streatham are to be “repurposed” for community use

Lambeth Council wants to create 25 more “parklets” over the next year, with 12 coming in the next few months. 

These are parking bays that have been turned into extra seating with tables, cycling storage or planters.  

The authority’s aim is to have one in each of the borough’s districts with residents being invited to nominate bays to be repurposed.
