It’s part of an ongoing upgrade to the A3 which separates the commons and will provide a safe route for walkers and cyclists.
The National Highways Agency is spending over £300 million widening carriageways to four lanes on the A3 and M25 around junction 10 at Wisley.
The project will also see the replacement of almost 30,000 trees and shrubs which were felled during the upgrade.
