A doctor from Clapham who almost lost his stepfather to cancer, is to take on the London Marathon for the charity which cared for him.

28-year-old Christian Wake will be raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support when he runs the 26.2 miles on Sunday. 

64-year-old Christopher was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the height of the pandemic in 2020. 

At the time, Christian was working in the NHS on the frontlines of the Covid-19 response.
