Two people have been taken to hospital after fire broke out in a flat in Streatham

Firefighters had to rescue one man trapped on the ground floor of the converted two-storey building in Buckley Road.

Another five escaped as the fire took hold shortly after midnight.

Six engines and 40 firefighters put put the blaze within an hour.
