More than 5,000 Armed Forces personnel playing an active role in the Coronation over the weekend travelled by train to London Waterloo.

South Western Railway put on seven trains for the Royal Navy, the Army and for Commonwealth Forces so they could get to the service.

The troops arrived to the sound of a special station announcement recorded by Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

It was the biggest movement of military personnel by the rail industry since Winston Churchill’s funeral in 1965.
