Not only will this help the council meet its carbon reduction targets, it will also save taxpayers’ money as they last longer and use less energy.
The scheme will take about 12 weeks to complete and is being carried out as part of a £340,000 investment in the park’s infrastructure.
This comes just days after the announcement of a new design for the toddler and junior playground.
