Carshalton and Wallington’s MP, Elliot Colburn, has met with Toyota to try and work out a way to prevent catalytic converter theft.

Sutton has some of the highest recorded incidences of this type of theft in the country. 

Toyota’s newer Hybrid cars are some of the most targeted.

The precious metals in the Prius and Auris tend to be in a better condition than regular engine vehicles and more accessible.

Toyota has provided 20,000 smart water kits to the Police and created a “CatLoc” device as part of its prevention methods.
