Richmond Park’s MP is reminding her constituents to ring the police, and not her office, when reporting a crime taking place.

Sarah Olney says witnesses  must use the approved methods of ringing 101 or 999 in an emergency.

The Lib Dem says “there have unfortunately been a few instances recently where residents have reported crime to my office.”

Ms Olney says this is not appropriate, nor is it the quickest way of reporting crime.
