Tension is mounting between residents and drivers at one of Surrey’s beauty spots.

Ranmore Common, which borders Leatherhead and Dorking, has seen an increase in off-road vehicles since the start of lockdown.

New tracks are being illegally carved out on private land causing damage to nesting sites and historic landscape features.

Residents claim to have also noted a spike in anti-social behaviour such as fly-tipping, trespassing and setting fire to vehicles.
