Hammersmith and Fulham fire services and the RSPCA were called last Wednesday after the cat’s owners heard her meowing but couldn’t find her.
Lola the kitten had managed to squeeze her way into a boarded-up fireplace, falling 10 metres to the floor. The owners who were new residents to the flat had no idea the fireplace was there.
Lola’s rescuer Phil Norman said “Despite her ordeal and her colour change - from a perfectly white cat to a very dirty grey - she seemed remarkably bright and uninjured.”
