People in Richmond will get five free months of garden waste collection, after disruption to collections during the pandemic.

Throughout July and early August, during the “pingdemic”, many drivers were asked to self-isolate.

That was made worse by a national shortage in drivers, meaning the council prioritised waste collections.

Residents with a garden waste bin have been contacted with more details.
