Heads from 11 businesses and institutions including John Lewis, Kingston University and Unilever have written a joint letter to SWR.
In it, they express “serious” concerns for the proposed changes to the train timetable which would come in to effect in December next year.
Unilever is preparing to move its HQ to central Kingston and estimates some 2,000 staff will use SWR services.
Meanwhile, Lidl has based its HQ in Tolworth in a new 250,000 sq ft office which was given the green light back in 2016.
Under SWR’s plans, 20% of morning peak time services from Kingston to Waterloo could be reduced.
South Western Railway says the changes across its network are a result of reduced passenger use over the last year.
