A Facebook post has gone viral thanking a police officer in Clapham for his kindness towards a young boy with autism.

Faye Butler was pushing her six-year-old son Spike up Balham Hill in his buggy when three police motorbikes went past.

Spike “loves anything with bright colours, lights and noise”, and waved at the officers.

One of them, Sergeant Harwood, drove back, and spent five minutes talking to the boy.

Faye says “please recognize this man as one of the best”.
