The Newsquest Young Reporter Scheme is in its thirteenth year and students aged 14 to 18 are being invited to sign up before the end of October.
They will be required to submit one article a month which will be published online with a monthly readership of almost 30 million people.
Successful applicants will get to interview a Radio Jackie presenter as part of their training.
The scheme can be part of DofE and will a valuable addition to a CV or UCAS application.
