Hundreds of police officers will be added to London's streets with the aim of making women and girls feel safer.

The Metropolitan force says 650 staff will be put in place across the capital over the next six months, starting with Hounslow and Kingston town centres.

It's part of a drive to cut down on violent crime following the murder of Sarah Everard in Clapham by serving police officer Wayne Couzens.
