Sewage pollution in the River Thames was the cause of a noisy demonstration today in Walton

Members of sailing and swimming clubs gathered with environmentalists at Walton Bridge to condemn the discharge of raw sewage into the river. 

Last week the government defeated a Commons attempt to make it illegal to dump untreated waste into rivers.
