Wandsworth Council is spending half a million pounds refurbishing its parks and open spaces.

Work is currently underway on Wandsworth Common where potholes and nearly 700 metres of railings are being repaired.

Improvements will then be carried out at 16 other locations including Tooting Common and Latchmere Rec.

In total, more than 8,200 metres of railings will be repaired and repainted; the equivalent of more than five miles.
