As world leaders meet in Glasgow to address the climate emergency, Croydon Council has announced its own carbon-busting plan.

A raft of sustainable travel measures are to be introduced to help the authority meet its carbon reduction target.

It’s hoping for a 34% decrease in CO2 emissions by 2025.

As well as increased cycle lanes, the 20mph speed limit will be made permanent and a “rain garden” introduced to help water drainage.
