People who have lost a loved one to suicide are being invited to plant a Daffodil along the River Wandle in their memory.

500 bulbs will be sowed on Friday in the hope Merton will be blooming by Spring. 

The initiative is in memory of former Met officer Mark Shepherd who died by suicide in August.

Jane Upson is Mark’s aunt. 

Friday’s bulb planting takes place at midday.
