Spelthorne Council is calling for all residents to suggest spaces in the borough that could be designated Local Green Space (LGS)

It’s felt that over recent years Protected Urban Open Space status is not preventing the loss of some open spaces to development.

PUO’s will now be considered alongside the current Call for Green Spaces to be designated LGS in the new local plan.

The adopted Local Plan will ensure a much higher threshold to increase protection for open spaces against development proposals.
