The work in the Riddlesdown and Bourne areas includes water -pressure sensors and cameras in roadside gullies and a penstock gate.
There’s also a new soakway to store water during extreme
weather.
Croydon council hopes the measures, costing over £160,000
will help them respond swiftly in an area prone to frequent flooding.
