One Chiswick said the scheme, implemented by TfL, had increased congestion and pushed traffic into other roads.
However, the campaign group now says it cannot continue with the legal challenge it launched last winter.
It says it’s because Hounslow Council’s agreed to make substantial modifications to a new temporary cycle scheme that will run for 18 months.
