44-year-old Emma Smart is now into her twentieth day, and Dr Ben Buse has now refused food for 12 days at HMP Thameside.
Ms Smart says she feels “resolute that what I am doing is right” and there will be deaths from fuel poverty and cold homes this winter.
Both of them are serving four-month jail terms.
