Two more “tiny forests” are coming to Fulham

Around 600 native trees and shrubs are to be planted at Normand Park and Eel Brook Common.

Councillor Wesley Harcourt says the tennis court-sized areas ensure “cleaner air and safer habitats for our local wildlife”.

The one in Normand Park was funded by a donation from 52-year-old Shamita Ray, a yoga teacher who’s lived in Hammersmith for 30 years.

She says “you can’t really go wrong with trees, it’s so pleasant to be within them”.
