Kingston Council has been granted £400,000 to help it “unlock” land in the borough for further home building

The funding is part of the government’s One Public Estate programme.

16 areas across the county are getting a share of £4.5 million.

The government hopes an additional 3,000 new homes will be built on public sector land over the next 10 years, creating 4,500 jobs.
