Women at Chelsea and Westminster hospitals, who experience an early miscarriage, are being supported via virtual reality headsets.

The Eirene sets, named after the Roman goddess of peace, have been designed by a midwife and consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

They play music, but women can still hear staff members providing words of comfort.

This, alongside the virtual reality scenes in which they are immersed, aims to help them focus their thoughts and on their breathing.
