Bags were piled high last night at Heathrow Airport after what is being described as a ‘technical malfunction’ at Terminal 2.

Travellers complained about a two-hour wait at baggage reclaim and others claimed they had to fly without any luggage at all.

A Heathrow spokesperson apologised for the disruption and said the problem has now been fixed.

Staff are working to reunite passengers with their luggage as soon as possible.
