The bus-driver’s union Unite has warned that thousands of people in Putney will lose an important lifeline if plans to axe two bus routes aren’t stopped

The numbers 14 and 74 from Putney to Russell Square and Baker street pass a number of the capital’s biggest hospitals.

They’ve run for the past 120 years but are among 16 routes TFL is planning to cut to save money.

A six-week consultation is underway. A petition to save the routes has been signed by 2,600 people.
