British Airways and Heathrow have welcomed measures to cancel more flights to avoid travel chaos over the summer holidays

The airport's cutting its spare slots, and operators will have until Friday to put realistic timetables in place.

British Airways says reducing the schedule at Heathrow this summer will offer "certainty" to customers.
