Croydon Council is hoping to expand its Healthy School Street programme this Autumn

The scheme has been proven to improve safety around schools by

closing surrounding roads to cars at pick up and drop off times.

It’s encouraged more pupils to walk, cycle and scoot to school.

Eleven schools are to be considered for the programme over the next month, which began in 2017.
