34 year old Gouled Ali has been jailed for 2 years and 3 months and 24 year old Katie McCaferty was given a 2 year suspended sentence.
The pair were caught on CCTV in the area at the time and several of the stolen items were found in his home during his arrest.
McCaferty was also ordered to pay £10,000 in compensation to the victim.
