An investigation's found Birmingham Airport was the worst in the UK for flight delays last year.

Civil Aviation Authority data shows departures were an average of around 12 and a half minutes late taking-off there in 2021.

Heathrow was third-worst, out of 24, with flights taking on average an extra 11 minutes 48 to take off.

Birmingham claims it was under immense pressure on resources and capacity because of coronavirus.
