British number one, Dan Evans, has been crowned ‘Battle of the Brits’ tennis champion in Roehampton.

Evans beat Andy Murray in his semi-final and has just dispatched British number 2, Kyle Edmund, 6-3 6-2 to lift the trophy.

Evans completed his straight sets win in just over an hour at the National Tennis Centre.
