Two dispersal zones have been put in place in Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common after police had to break up illegal raves there.


The zones allow officers to order people to leave an area and not return for 48 hours.

The Home Secretary, Priti Patel’s asked people to stop attending mass gatherings or risk a devastating second wave of coronavirus.

Ms Patel added that " violent behaviour is simply unacceptable", and that more resources would be made available to the police if needed.

20 Police officers were injured after breaking up a party in Brixton on Wednesday.
