Plan have been submitted for a new town-centre university campus in Croydon.

London’s South Bank University is proposing to convert the four-storey Electric House on Wellesley Road into a lecture theatre, classrooms and a café.

The campus would offer degree courses in nursing, accounting and business management.

The university says it would boost regeneration and career prospects for for the 93,000 people in Croydon under 18.
