The 30-year-old victim was with a friend on Whitehorse Road in the early hours of Tuesday 21 July, when they became involved in a verbal altercation with a man in a beige Mini Clubman.
The victim and his friend reported the Mini had been following them so pulled over to confront the driver, at which point the man is reported to have driven at both men.
The car hit the victim and crushed him against his van, where he sustained serious pelvic injuries and remains in hospital.
