Richmond Council says the decision to axe the TfL Scrappage Scheme for vans and minibuses is “short sighted.”

The initiative has committed over £30 million to helping small and micro-sized businesses prepare for the ULEZ and its extension.

However, London’s councils say they were given just a few days’ notice before the scheme was axed on Friday.

The ULEZ, or Ultra Low Emission Zone, already operates in Central London and will expand to the North and South Circulars next year.
