The developer chosen to build over a thousand homes in Wandsworth has pulled out.


The regeneration of the Alton Estate was due to be managed by Redrow, who now say that they will be scaling back operations in London.

They’re calling it a “challenge compounded by increasing costs and a two-tier planning system”.

Wandsworth Council Leader Ravi Govindia says they’ll be exploring other options, but it’s “deeply disappointing”.
